The Covid-19 Response Greece team is studying tracking applications used in other countries, assessing their functionality and their potential for adaptation to Greek standards.
This app monitors the user’s movement in real-time, using their phone's location services. The data are stored locally on the user’s device. The application informs the user whether they have been in close proximity to a confirmed case, in which case it suggests necessary actions. The relevant information is also updated by nursing staff based on confirmed cases that are hospitalized.
In addition, the user can voluntarily share their location history with the Ministry of Health or the NPHO, so that if they are confirmed to have contracted the virus later on, other users who have been in close proximity with them can be informed in real time.
